About Burn Right Eco Wood Briquettes
The briquettes are made from 100% untreated wood shavings and sawdust (primarily hardwood), that are highly compacted under hydraulic pressure; thus they almost take on the burning behaviour of coal. The extreme pressure turns lignin†, a natural component of wood into a liquid; this then solidifies and binds the briquettes together, so no additives are used to make the briquettes. The briquettes produce a consistently high heat output and a slow burn time. The table below compares the gross calorific value per KJ/Kg of Burn Right Briquettes to other fuels:

How to use
Burn Right briquettes are easy to light and can be placed directly on top of kindling or firelighters to start the fire. Once the fire is established add more briquettes as required, but never overfill the fire box. Caution never put more that two briquettes on at a time until you have seen how they burn on your fire, as each briquette produces a lot of heat.
For best results and longer burning, once briquettes have ignited get them burning so they go completely black, at this stage shut down the air supplies (if using wood burning/multi-fuel stove) to suit the amount of heat required, but still ensuring sufficient air flow to create a flame and to prevent smouldering.
When refilling the fire, place the next briquette on top of the existing one gently, try not to break it up or disturb it too much. Open up the fire and get the new briquette burning, once it has gone completely black follow steps above again.
Do not poke the briquettes, as they will continue to provide high heat output from the core until the end of burning. Burn Right Briquettes will burn between 1-4 hours depending on solid fuel appliance and the amount of air flow.
Burning briquettes as a fuel completes a natural cycle; on combustion they only release as much carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere as was originally absorbed by the growing tree during photosynthesis. No trees are felled to produce them, as they are made from clean and untreated waste woodshaving and sawdust that would otherwise go into landfill.
